Laura Canulli joined the Cogan & Power, P.C. the summer of 2023. Laura handles matters involving motor vehicle collisions, premises liability and medical malpractice.
Laura is a 2012 graduate of Seton Hall University, where she earned a bachelor’s degree in marketing. She went on to earn her law degree from the John Marshall Law School, now known as the University of Illinois Chicago School of Law, in 2017. While attending law school, she received academic honors and was a finalist in the Dean Fred F. Herzog Moot Court Competition.
After passing the Illinois bar examination, Laura obtained her license to practice law before all Illinois state courts. She is also qualified to appear before the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. She gained her initial legal experience serving as an extern for a federal judge and the DuPage County State’s Attorney’s Office. She practiced personal injury law with a focus on representing injured bicyclists before joining Curcio Law Offices in 2018.
In recognition of her achievements and contributions to the legal profession, the organization The National Trial Lawyers included Ms. Canulli on its “Top 40 Under 40” list. In 2021, 2022 and 2023, Leading Lawyers named her an “Emerging Lawyer,” as selected by her peers.
Outside of the office, Laura enjoys staying active in her legal community and maintaining relationships with her colleagues through membership in professional organizations. She belongs to the Chicago Bar Association, the Women’s Bar Association of Illinois, the Illinois Trial Lawyers Association and the American Association for Justice.
